New School Opens in Sigatoka!

February 22nd, 2007

Greetings from Fiji islands of the sea! God is moving and who will let Him? Last night, Shiloh Bible Training Center opened a new center in Sigatoka, a town about one hour from the school in Nadi. Eighteen beautiful students were ready and waiting for us, including the pastor and his wife. They were so responsive to the teaching. Our hearts rejoiced greatly!

Yesterday, another opportunity was opened to us. We have been praying for the Marshall Islands for a year. The 15th of March, Pastor Simeli and I will fly to the Marshall Islands and begin another school. Bless the pastor there! He said they have been praying for us to come. Please pray for us as God prepares us for these tasks. So far, He has given us potential teachers to take over in the school when we need to leave.

We are also looking forward to the Philippines in the fall because of the coming graduation there and three pastoral seminars being planned. Please keep these in your prayers, also. My sincere apologies for not giving the report of our time there last October. I was a bit sick when I came home and did not get it done. God so blessed us during that time. Over one hundred and twenty pastors met in Tagaytay at the Christian Development Center for a time of fellowship, worship and teaching. Pastor Simeli Kenawai, Pastor Mao Hernandez and I taught on freedom and fullness and Sister Millet shared her testimony of how God healed her of cancer. Sister Millet then taught a bunch of pastors how to eat healthy and live longer. The presence of God was experienced and people were blessed. We are looking forward to our time there again next fall. We look forward to your comments. Let us hear from you!

Yours in Him,
Opal Moore

Last week, one of our church members, who is also a student at the center, invited us to come and minister to his new class of pilots. He is one of the instructors at a flight school. Pastor Simeli opened the meeting with words of encouragement because this school had just passed through a tragedy. One of their planes had crashed, killing the instructor and two passengers. Pastor Gary Ladd, from Port Arthur, Texas, spoke briefly on “Keeping Christ in the Ship”, and prayed for their safety and protection. We felt a close connection between us and this group. Two of our people are pilots here and both have a call of God in their lives. The world needs men like these, so keep them in your prayers.

We have been blessed with a miracle. We have been praying for a vehicle for the ministry. When Pastor Ladd and I arrived in the islands, one of the first things he said was that we needed a van as the church is growing, and school is about to start. We were in the midst of revival, so my mind was too occupied to think of vans. But one night in the meeting, Pastor Ladd said, “Let us all agree for God to give this work a van.” Within a week, we had a van parked in the driveway, completely paid for! Full Gospel Christian Center in Port Arthur, Texas, has stood with us through the years and came to our rescue many times. But, for the first time, they collected enough funds in one Sunday to pay cash for this beautiful van. Brother Ladd has been preaching the break-through message since his arrival here in January. Maybe it was to put emphasis on his message. I assure you, we all have greater faith since this wondrous’ break-through’ came in our lives!

God has spoken to us to spread out….to stretch out our tent stakes, and we have been doing that. God has added ministry after ministry to our lives. As many of you know, we now have three Shiloh Bible Training Centers in the Philippines where our coordinator Pastor Mao is doing a wonderful job overseeing the schools. By October, we will graduate one of the largest classes we have ever had.

This week, we were invited to start a training center in Sigatoka, a town about one hour from here. We met with a pastor of one of the local churches, and after just one week, we have fourteen students, many of them already pastors or ready to be. We are excited about this wonderful opportunity to train and equip leaders. Pray for us! This will stretch us out and give some of our youinger ones a chance to see what they can do as they take on extra responsibilities in the church as well as subbing in the classroom when necessary.

We have been invited to the Marshal Islands, to start a training center. Pray for God to show us the right timing. Our hearts burn within us as we realize what God is entrusting us with. Keep us in your prayers.
