About Shiloh Bible Training Center
Shiloh Bible Training Center is a place for training young (and not so young ) people . It is equipping and preparing them for going anywhere in the world and preaching or teaching the Word of God.

When the children of Israel came out of Egypt, God brought them to Shiloh, a place where the Ark of the Covenant was rested. As I Samuel 3:21 says, the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by His Word. It is the vision of Shiloh Bible Training Centers that God reveal Himself to people by His Word. It was through this passage in His Word that Spirit of God gave us the name for the Bible Training Centers.
My name is Opal Moore. In 1996, I was preparing to resign as Pastor of Oasis Christian Fellowship. God spoke very clearly about raising up Training Centers and teaching His people. I was willing, but had no idea how to go about doing it. I was not part of an organization. I had already been in missions for more than ten years and had always been independent, so I waited for God to show me what to do.In 1998, I went to live in the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific. I taught in a Bible School belonging to another organization. When a shake up in the organization brought new people into the school, I went to Labasa, a small town on an outer island, and started a small school with the idea of helping one of my students find a place to work. We started the school with twenty-one students and to my great delight, I found that this student loved teaching as much as I. So I moved from the main island to the place where the school was, and God blessed us with a first graduation two years later. While I was home on sick leave, Simeli Kenawai, my young student teacher, started a church in the schoolroom.
God continued to bless us and in 2004, a new Shiloh Bible Training Center began in Nadi, on the main island, with five students. In March of 2005 we opened another school on the beautiful Island of Kadavu.
2005 was a very full and blest year, for by April, we felt led to go to the Philippines, where I had spent my first ten years of missionary work. God again gave us two schools, one in the city of Tagaytay, and another in the nearby city of Nasugbu. Another school will be opened this spring in the Mt Province of Baguio City.
Our vision is to bring Bible training to the small towns and villages, as most of the people here cannot afford the tuition of Bible School, much less living away from home. One of our schools consists of sixteen students. These students are from a church whose pastor takes care of two churches, one in Manila and one in Tagaytay. Sunday mornings, he ministers to his church in Tagaytay and in the afternoon he travels one hour away in Manila. When he comes home, he brings the students home with him where they spend the week in his house, then go home for a day or two on the bus. They really want school seriously. They wept when we went home for Christmas.
Most of our students are low-income, or no income. In Fiji, the tuition is forty-five Fiji dollars per eight-week block, (thirty U.S. dollars). In the Philippines, they pay one thousand pesos, or twenty U.S. dollars, but we are hoping to train the Pastors or local teachers to take over in the country where the schools are. We hope to be able to provide a salary for these teachers. At the moment, we are dependant upon a few independent churches and a few faithful individuals for providing houses for us to live in while we are in the country.
God is spreading us in many ways. Two more island countries are pleading for us to come and start schools - Papua New Guinea and the Marshal Islands, also in the Pacific. New Guinea still has cannibals. They really need a school for training workers. There has been an uprising there that has kept us from going in. We are currently preparing teachers who are willing to go there. By God’s grace, we will be there sometime this year. We hear God saying “Nations” and we have been invited to Japan, and Hong Kong. We pray and wait for our people to get ready and the finances to get there, knowing full well that when it is the time,.. His time… it will all be put together.
What are you doing with the rest of your life? Are you a giver? or a goer? or a prayer? Or maybe you are all three?
