Opal Moore

Opal Moore is the founder and director of Shiloh Bible Training Centers. She received a call to missions work when she was a child, Opal Moorebut it wasn’t until mid-life that she was able to pursue that call. In 1977, she traveled to Manila, Philippines where God had told her she would go fourteen years earlier. Over the next 20 years, she would minister in many other countries besides the Philippines, including Thailand, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Russia, Nigeria, Israel, Indonesia, Tonga, Australia and the Fiji Islands. It is her calling and her passion to prepare people for the work that God has called them to; to equip them by the teaching of the Word.

1 Samuel 3:21

In 1998, with an invitation to teach in a Bible Training School, Opal moved to Nadi, Fiji. It was there that the vision for Shiloh Bible Training Centers was born. This vision included establishing Bible Training Centers in communities where the people were poor and had little or no resources and little exposure to God’s Word. It was her heart and vision to bring a Bible School to people, rather than sending people to Bible School. In 2002, the first Shiloh Bible Training Center was opened with 21 students in the city of Labasa on the island of Vanua Levu. In 2004, a second Shiloh Bible Training Center was opened in Nadi on the island of Viti Levu. Again, in 2005, a third Shiloh Bible Training Center was opened on the island of Kadavu. Each school was opened and established by teachers who were graduates of the Bible Training centers and were now teaching others.

Graduates

In April of 2005, a new door opened in the Philippines to establish training centers there. Along with Simeli Kenawai, one of her graduating students who is now Headmaster of Shiloh Bible Training Centers, she opened two schools in two different cities in the fall of 2005. A third one will be opened in the mountain province of Baggio City in the spring of 2006. Other doors are opening in other countries such as Japan and Hong Kong.

What is needed for these centers to open is trained, dedicated teachers who share the vision of this ministry. Additionally, financial support and the necessary resources are required in order to see this vision expanded. Shiloh Bible Training Centers ministries is supported entirely by offerings given by independent churches and individuals who want to participate in this ministry through monthly pledges.
